This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which customers may receive a refund for bookings made through rentcarsalicante.com, operated by Alta Vida Club SL.

1. General Refund Principles

Refund eligibility depends on:

  • The cancellation timing

  • The policies of the rental provider

  • Whether the service has already been fulfilled

  • Compliance with booking requirements (documentation, age, licence, etc.)

We aim to process all approved refunds within 7–14 business days, depending on your payment method and bank.

2. Free Cancellation Period

Most bookings include a free cancellation period, which will be clearly stated during the booking process and in your confirmation email.

If you cancel within the allowed period:

- You will receive a full refund of any amount paid.

No administrative fees will be deducted.

3. Cancellations After the Free Cancellation Period

If you cancel after the free cancellation period has expired:

  • You may be entitled to a partial refund, depending on the rental provider’s conditions

  • Some reservations may become non-refundable after a certain point

All such conditions will be shown before completing your booking.

4. No-Show Refunds

A “no-show” occurs when:

  • You fail to appear at the agreed pickup time and location

  • You do not notify us or the rental provider of delays

  • You cannot complete the rental due to missing documents (e.g., driving licence, passport, credit card in driver’s name)

In these cases:

❌ No refund will be issued, including for delivery fees or booking deposits.

5. Refunds for Delivery & Pickup Fees

5.1. Free Delivery Zones

Free delivery within Alicante Airport and Alicante City does not generate refundable fees.

5.2. Paid Delivery (Outside Business Hours)

If you paid the 50 € outside-hours delivery or pickup fee:

  • This fee is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled within the free cancellation period

  • This fee is non-refundable if:

    • You cancel after the free cancellation period

    • You are a no-show

    • You fail to provide required documents at delivery

6. Provider-Initiated Cancellations

If the rental provider cancels your booking due to:

  • Lack of vehicle availability

  • Operational issues

  • Overbooking

- You will receive a full refund of any amounts paid.

We will assist in securing an alternative vehicle whenever possible.

7. Refunds for Early Vehicle Return

If you return the vehicle earlier than planned:

  • The rental provider may not refund unused rental days

  • This depends entirely on the provider’s own policy

We do not guarantee partial refunds for early returns unless explicitly stated in your rental agreement.

8. Refunds for Security Deposits

Security deposits are not collected by us and are managed by the rental provider.

Deposit refunds depend on:

  • Vehicle condition upon return

  • Fuel policy compliance

  • Traffic fines, tolls, or damage reports

We do not process, manage, or refund security deposits.

9. Incorrect Charges or Billing Errors

If you believe there is an incorrect charge, such as:

  • Duplicate payment

  • Wrong amount charged

  • Service not received

10. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us by email with:

  • Booking reference number

  • Full name

  • Email used to make the reservation

  • Reason for refund request
